A Russian children's folk group founded and directed by  Irina Zagornova in 1995

The group's repertoire includes dances,musical games and folk rituals as well as the best-known Russian folk songs.

The audience was impressed with children's charisma,confidence and skill.It was amazing how they enjoy their own singing.

A native of Russia, Irina graduated from the Musorgsky College of Music in St.Petersburgh where she studied folk singing.

In her desire to preserve Russian traditions she founded the children's group "The Golden Rooster" in New York (1997)

Its programs provided audiences with an overview of russian folk music,traditions and customs.

The group has different Programs (formatted in Russian and English) to choose from.

Learn about old Russian handcrafts ,old wedding rituals (Bride 's Lament during the splitting of the braid) ,old russian games while enjoying a great performance of lively singing and dancing.
